I have worked in social care services since 1987 and have worked as a management consultant since 2003. During that time I have worked with some of the largest care providers in the country and I am ready to use that experience to help your organisation develop and grow.

I have worked in health and social care for all my career, starting as a care assistant in a residential college for people with learning disabilities and now as a independent consultant. Highlights of my career include:

  • 2020-Onwards Managing Director of Trink Consulting Limited, working with a range of small care providers and as an Associate Consultant with Cordis Bright Limited
  • 2003-2020 - Senior Consultant with Cordis Bright Limited with a focus on independent sector social care providers
  • 2002-2003 - Freelance consultant working with a number of local authorities on Supporting People projects
  • 2000-2003 - Head of Performance and Planning at Novas Ouvertures Group
  • 1997-2000 - Care Manager at South Yorkshire Housing Association, managing NHS Contracted services for people with learning disabilities
  • 1994-1997 - Special Projects Manager, Places for People Group, covering the Midlands and Eastern Regions

Interests

I have been a Cub Scouts Leader for 10 years, recently project managing and working on the fit out and finishing of the Scout Group’s new building, a £300,000 project to develop a modern resource for Scouting and the local community.

Previously I have been a School Governor at a Special School for autistic young people in Manchester and chair of the Manchester Governer’s Association and one of the membership team of Audax UK, the national long distance cycling association.

I have an interest in technology and IT, with a good knowledge of Linux system administration, VoIP phone systems and home automation.

I am a runner, cyclist and open water swimmer and enjoy baking and good coffee.
