Dimensions Group are one of the largest learning disability providers in the Country. Julian has worked with them on a number of projects, but the longest term one has been the Market Workbook, which is an annually updated spreadsheet containing data on the commissioning of services for people with learning disabilities by local authorities.
The workbook has data going back over 10 years and provides a good indication of the current commissioning trends for people with learning disabilities. Data is drawn from Short and Long Term Care data (SALT) and the Adult Social Care Financial Return (ASC-FR) as well as other sources. The model is a good example of how publically available data can be used to provide market insight.
