Julian worked with Choice Support to develop a financial forecasting tool to help them undertake long term financial planning and cash-flow forecasting.
The model was developed in Microsoft Excel and utilised PowerQuery to extract data on the organisations care and support contracts.
This data was used to calculate contract income and expenditure over time using a range of measures, including forecast inflation and demographic data and local authority commissioning trends. The outputs were feed into the 10 year cash-flow forecasts to support Board decision-making and identify key financial risks.
